We have a gas grill in the back yard, it makes cooking meat very simple. Jay man's the grill, by choice as do many other husbands I know. I would rather prepare meals in the kitchen.
If we plan to have various kinds of steak, pork chops, pork steak or chicken for supper, an outdoor grill does an excellent job. For sides, this might be corn on the cob or baked potatoes along with some type of green salad.
The nice part about this type of meal, the cleanup is minimal. We even use paper plates, at times.
Using the outdoor grill, I don't miss having an oven quite as much. I still miss baking cornbread, muffins and slow roasting meats all afternoon. Even during the summer months, I still like to use an oven(not quite as often, though.)

I love meats on the grill. We haven't used our charcoal grill in quite some time. Have a good day.

We stopped using our charcoal grill, I get sick from that smoky meat.

It's funny how men mostly do any barbecuing. But the women still do the cleaning up.

Does your rental home not have an oven? Seems rather odd. I would really miss it if I didn't have one, I use mine a lot. Do you have a crockpot you can use? I even have an older electric skillet I drag out once in awhile to use, it frees up the stove, and on the rare occasions that I fry something, I use it at times. I love grilled foods, too.

My crockpot and other similar things are buried up in a storage unit, until we move. Nope, there's no oven in this home(weird!)

That really is odd. Do you have a bynothing group in your area, or a good thrift store? Bynothing is great, people give away very good items at times, and/or you can ask for an item as well. You might be able to score a toaster type of oven, which can bake a lot of different things. Just an idea.
