You may be knowing that the State of Gujarat is on high alert and loads of residents have been evacuated to safer places. The cyclone Biparjoy is the culprit. When people are in distress there are a few who would want to watch the angry sea and angry river Actually it is a sight to behold I am guilty of that. Are you? Have you gone to see the beauty of the sea and river in spate? Do you think it is a wrong thing to do?

I don't live close to a sea or ocean... I have watched tornados dancing in the sky and running roughshod over the land. That's an amazing sight, too.

When there is nothing we can do to those in distress wanting to view those spectacular images seems fine in that case. If you feel fine that is some relief (lol)

@allknowing When Pretty was six or seven years old, there was a tornado that chased us down and elevated highway. There was no place to get off the highway or any cover along it. I just kept driving while she and I watched the tornado playing beside our car. I was scared but doing my best not to show I was scared. I teased Pretty that we could take the tornado with us to the amusement park we were heading to that day. She agreed and kept watching it for the full ten minutes it was beside us... Then she told me that the tornado had to leave. A minute or two later, it turned away from us and followed a valley to our right until it was out of sight. I'm glad there were no houses, cars or other people involved... I'm not sure what I would have done if she saw someone getting hurt or killed. Other times, tornados circled around our city. Pretty and I sat on our front porch and watched them until they were out of sight.

@DaddyEvil We had a mini tornado and there was devastation in our property but I did not see it as I was inside and just heard the noise. You were right in it and God saved you.

As the winds pick up in a pending hurricane everyone is supposed to be in their homes, but some beach goers remain watching the sea for as long as they can.

It depends how angry the sea is. If a hurricane is approaching I would not stay there to look at the sea. If it's only a strong thunderstorm I enjoy.

I think where one can safely stay then appreciating the beauty of the angry sea or river is tempting

@allknowing Even when you think to be safe, the sea is unpredictable. I remember years ago in Monte Carlo that I was totally covered by a high wave. I would have never imagined that the waves could have reached that high walkway at the harbour.
