Will you celebrate Father's Day?

Sunday morning in my country and today is Father's Day.
For two consecutive days I have been telling Craig how great his grandfather was. Craig is currently reading a book about Kobe Bryant and he told me that Kobe's dad reminded him of what I told him about my dad. He said they're very similar. Not that handsome but very charismatic and popular among girls.
I have been missing him since his birth anniversary May 30th and I keep recalling his warm hugs and kisses. I always had a special relationship with my dad from the day I was born. And that relationship lasted only for 13 years.
I am writing this in Sophie's nursery. It's not finished yet but I'm getting there. The photo is of the two bunnies, the lovey I made and the yellow one was a gift from Sophie's little cousin.

Both of my parents are gone and I'm not married or in a relationship so Father's Day will come and go like any other.

Craig is my son. And Craig has a lot of similarity to my dad. If my dad was alive, Craig would have been his favorite and I could imagine the two of them talking about sports, especially the NBA every single day. And my father would have been very very glad that Craig loves Math as much as he did. They both love reading as well. My father would have enjoyed my son's company a lot.

We don't celebrate too. We didn't celebrate mother's day as well. We're not really into celebrations.

@LadyDuck Our country has started celebrating Father's Day in the 80s but it wasn't as popular nor as celebrated as it is now. Same with mother's day. But I remember making cards for my mom.

No, Pretty and I don't really celebrate anything except our birthdays and we only buy cake and wish each other a happy birthday and that's our "celebration". I do still cook smoked turkey and the rest of a good meal for Thanksgiving and Christmas but that's as far as we go on those holidays.
Somebody is shooting off fireworks in the city. I'm sure the police will order them to stop. Fireworks are illegal in our city except on the 4th of July for Independence Day. (I kept thinking it was thunder until I stepped out on the front porch to see the lightning and smelled the burning powder from the fireworks.)
And the fireworks only went on for about ten minutes so the police finally reached them. Unfortunately, the fireworks were being shot somewhere behind our house so we couldn't see any of them because our back yard is full of trees that blocked the view.

Not really a fan of fireworks. Fortunately my fur babies are ok with them as long as I'm next to them.
We didn't celebrate Mother's Day but Craig had a surprise gift for me. That's enough for me.

My parents and in-laws have passed; and we no longer have any fur babies; so we won't be celebrating Father's Day today. Hope you have a good day.

Since my father passed away over a decade ago, Father's day just comes and goes like any other day.
