Hey everyone, how are you all doing?
Yes, another day is over now.... this month is really flying by. Soon it will be the 4th of July. After that, the rest of the summer just seems to go by even faster.
Anyways - I will share how I did today though it is not that amazing.
My weight stayed about the same...still up since Monday.
Blood sugars - woke up in the 80's according to my Libre, but it is always higher than a blood stick. But the rest of the day I was much higher, just checked and 264. Yikes.
I did do a 20 minute workout; all I could handle. Tomorrow I will try for 30 minutes and keep adding more as much as I can. I just danced for those 20 minutes. Ending the day with about 4,000 steps
What did I eat today?
Meal 1 - Popcorn chicken from walmart, and a few potato wedges
Meal 2 - Fingersteak leftovers (probably about 3 oz) and some fries. I did have a brownie after the meal
I think I also had one cookie that I made yesterday.
Doesn't sound like a lot, but it probably was over on calories with the fingersteaks - it's made with top round steak
I know the 20 minute workout didn't help much...but I got to get back into working out small. I have let myself get way out of shape. But it is a start. Maybe tomorrow I can do 20 minutes 2 different times. We'll see.
What do you think of that plan? Ideas what would cause my pain? I am sure it is just being so much overweight. But I don't know for sure.

I guess it does not, as I take both. I also take another shot - Ozempic.
I have tried other pills too, but I wasn't on insulin at the time.
Then one I tried sent me into DKA (Diabetic Keto-Acidosis) and I had to go to the ER.

@MommyOfEli2013 I wanted to take Ozempic, but my insurance won’t pay for it. My sister lost 50 pounds on it though before her insurance quit paying. How long have you been on it? Maybe it hasn’t kicked in yet?

@AmbiePam Wow, 50 pounds? That's amazing. I seemed to have gained since I have been on it. I don't remember how long I have been on it, but I know I am on the highest dose. Not sure it does anything for me. Sorry that they won't pay for it for you. I'd like to try Mounjaro, but I know my insurance wouldn't pay for that because it is too new.

@MommyOfEli2013 When I try to walk, my legs don't want to cooperate.

@LindaOHio I am sorry to hear that... Mine just get so tired after about 5 minutes of walking or standing. I am sure it is a weight thing.

Pain in my back, and legs. Not sure how to really explain it. My legs will feel heavy and get so tired...

When you see your doctor, you need to tell him about your legs and the heavy feeling in them. That is often concerning, can be a lot of things but you need to tell him. Being in pain isn't fun, I know.

Well I won't tell him, it's embarrassing and I can't bring things up...
I really just want to cancel the next visit

@MarieCoyle I don't want to deal with any of this is what I actually want. yeah I need to go to get my meds filled, but I don't want to be yelled to by my doctor, or be given advice that I won't take (like to eat veggies, not happening). That's good you go and do what is best for you...

i think it would be worth it to tell him if there was a way he could help you alleviate the pain you are in. I never want to go to the doctor, either. But my kids need me, and I go...if I feel really bad, it's hard to get around with MS, and I have to try to be proactive about it all. I hope you do not cancel your appointment, with diabetes and on insulin, etc. you no doubt need to go. I'm sure you want to feel better.
