Do you feel envy for the successful Mates?

So I was figuring out on how people relate with others. According to how human beings are, they are bound to feel jealousy. For instance when you see the people that you schooled with are driving luxuriously cars, buying mansions and dream houses, living the best life and travelling to the places they wish for vacation. Do you feel bad at that situation. Especially when the people that performed so bad in school compared to you are doing well in life and seems to be living a successful life. Do you feel mistaken ever? Do you blame yourself really for your failure in life or do you feel jealousy of your colleagues. For me I feel so bad about my state of life but according to my faith in God I am bound not to feel envy or jealous to people. Have a great my loting time.

I feel happy for them. I believe that whatever I have is based on my past choices. So. I will just have to try my best to achieve my own goal and appreciate whatever I have now. They may have everything but are they happy? The abundance of material things does not guarantee happiness. If I'm happy for the little that I have, then I am already a winner if ever I have to compare myself to them.

I think that is how people must live. Learn how to live happily and never compare yourself to others

I am sorry your state in life right now is less than you would want it to be. However think about all the things you do have that others don't,- like you can see, you can hear, talk, feel. You have both hands and feet and intelligence, you can make it of you keep on trying. No, l am never envious of what other people have, if anything l am more motivated to achieve my goals.

We don't have to feel bad about our situations in life. Being grateful to the little things we get is already a good thing. And yes, we should be happy with the success of others. Celebrate their victories too.

@Treborika - You cannot always be so lucky to have a job that brings you a lot of money.

When we compare ourselves with others we are never happy. I don't feel bad when others have more.

There is nothing wrong about feeling jealous or envy. It is very natural. But as long as you are able to control it with your logic and maturity, it's okay. It becomes devastating once it starts overpowering you.

I have a feeling some of those people are either drowning in debt, or will soon spend so much of their money they will have nothing left. Maybe they will live comfortably, but they probably also live with everyone wanting a piece of what they have with no true friends. I’d bet though, that the riches don’t last forever. Envy has not affected me since I was probably a teenager, and I mostly envied things like the ease of making friends. When you learn to be content, you will know peace, and eventually you will start to see your blessings appear. It is a process, but I know we can all get there.

I feel happy for my friend that is worth quite a lot. Her husband was a lawyer; and now they live in a very expensive house. She's a smart lady and always did well in school.
