Poor Whiskers

Our five cats are so funny sometimes. They love my daughter and grandson and follow them all over. (Did you ever wonder why your cats do that? Do they think they are going to get some miraculous treat, join in something wonderful, or what?) So anyway, the other day my daughter got a bag of clothes out of the closet that we were adding to our nearly monthly of late donation to the Good Will. She comes back upstairs, folds the clothes into the appropriate box we have set up, and goes on with the day. Hours (about 8 or so) later she hears something and opens the closet door to find our little female, Whiskers, standing in there looking up at her.

I have noticed that my cats follow me around when I go and get them food for them to eat.

@Deepizzaguy .........I think ours just want attention and love to be pet. I think they think if they follow us around they may get some attention.

Cats follow us because they want to be near us. Mostly for the attention.

@celticeagle Yeah, that too. Chilly will run into the closet, then run out within a minute.

Better to be stuck in a closet for hours than the refrigerator, as my mother-in-law was surprised to find one morning. (The cat was fine.)

I'm surprised Whiskers wasn't meowing to be let out.

She may have been. She is a very petite animal and her meow doesn't really carry well.

Awww, they must love your daughter and grandson a lot. That or they're waiting for food.

Poor Whiskers. I shut one in the refrigerator one time. It did stop nosing when the door was open
