I know a lot of you have talked about various chat sites similar to Mylot that you used to enjoy. I really liked Gather and Bubblews (a LOT of mylotters seem to have come over after they folded), but there have been other sites I frequented as well that have since gone the way of the dinosaurs. I don’t remember the name of it, but there was a website run by a woman who did hilarious commentary on many TV shows and movies, and it amused me to no end. Are there any sites of any genre, not just money making sites, that you miss, and maybe would like to see return? *And yes, I agree Mylot is the best chat site we’ve ever had available.

I enjoyed Bubblews. They really did many of us wrong. I can’t remember the exact amount anymore, but I lost several hundred dollars.

@AmbiePam For a brief period before it closed I was doing really good. It was enough to make a difference in our finances.

I agree, myLot does rock. I was on the B site, but not for really wrong. I used to be a moderator on the site Toluna. It was fun for a while, I gave it up though as it wasn't as much fun as here.

I was on Bubblews and I enjoyed the site. Same as Marie, I lost several hundred dollars when they folded.

I also joined Persona Paper and before I wrote for Squidoo.

I really enjoyed the site Virily. A lot of myLotters here also were there. Then suddenly they stopped paying and the admin did not respond to anyone. The site is still there but I do not know for what purpose. They have me listed on there with others who no longer go on that site and I would like to have my account deleted but no one to ask. I just wonder what purpose it is or what good is it to them to leave the site as it is. I think one or two people add something to it now and then but I no longer see any purpose to that site.

@AmbiePam there is no one to ask and the site seems to be just hanging there, I doubt anyone goes there to read anything. It makes me mad because I have so many articles I could rewrite and dust off and use again but I have to be careful the when I check plagiarism it does not coincide with this site. It is my own writing but still I cannot repost what is already online,

Bubblews was great and I was one of the lucky ones that didn't lose out when they folded. I also liked Infobarrel and Helium. It's a shame what such sites fold.

I was on Gather, but it seems like alot of mylotters were on Bubblews. Gather was pretty good, but they lost steam after awhile, and I know a lot of people liked Bubblews. Mylot is one of the few that seemed to make it in the long term. Postloop was another site that might still be around a couple of people from there are on here too.

I have to say I loved geo cities, blogger and a few others. While blogger I do believe still exists, it's not the same. Aol/Aim is another one. Aol's mail service still exists, but it's a shell of what it once was.

I used to miss the boards on imdb, I always read that after watching a movie. But now we have moviechat, but it's not as informative.

I always felt "dirty" when I wrote on Bubblews. I enjoyed Epinions before that.

I had a good time with Associated Content which became the Yahoo Contributor network. I also liked Wikinut. However, both flattered only to deceive in the end.

I actually loved Bubblews. I wish it was still around. But only if it paid like it did in its heyday! lol I agree that myLot is the best site around, and I think its staying power is testament to how good the site is, and how well it is managed. Other sites come and go, but Mylot has been around for a long time.

I can't think of any. I used to spend a lot of time on the chat forums at MoneySavingExpert, but have drifted away. That was mainly because the little community that built up on there gradually moved on to other things as their circumstances changed. The site is still there, but I rarely visit these days.
