I rinsed everything that I used.

And thanked heaven (although I´m not a believer and if I was I would not use heaven for that) that there´s a fridge that keeps food TIGHTLY out of dust.
Yesterday Mario sanded (in part scraping with glass ) the beautiful wooden doors that some awesome carpenters made for us over 25 years ago. They are unique pieces made with native wood that now are protected. My husband built houses but he never threw away odds and ends that could be used elsewhere.
Anyway, the kitchen is again absolutly dusted and as one of the doors was the one to go to the dining room, the dining room also has dust. He "said" he had cleaned it, but dust takes a while to set on the surfaces around.
Anyway, I had cooked spinach in the fridge and some thick dairy cream. I have some eggs en cocotte in the oven. Meanwhile I ate part of the pasta that Mario did not eat yesterday. I just heated it and added butter. Those were my carbs for the day.
I envy those TV shows where they remodel a whole house in days. I only need a small remodeling and it is taking forever.
Have you remodeled anything? How did it go?

Part of my problem has been that Mario had to sand off everytthing that was burned by the fire.

@marguicha That would take a long time. Hopefully your house will soon be in order.

Refreshing to find others who don't believe in all that silliness.
My daughter just got a new duster is going around dusting everything.
Spinach sure sounds good. I like mine with a little vinegar. Have you ever had lamb's quarter? I like turnip greens too.

Glad things are shaping up for you. No remodeling for me except back in Latvia when we had to make the big room as we called it downstairs into one big room. The previous owners had divided the room in half. Since there was only one room downstairs the fiber wall was knocked down and it became a large living room. That took about one week,

I would not have remodeled at all if it hadn´t been for the fire.

Houses in this country are difficult to remodel. As we have many big earthquakes, our houses have brick and mortar and reinforced concrete.

I've seen those shows. I don't know how they do it! We haven't had any remodeling done. Have a good day.
