Friday's trip down town and birthday lunch.

On Friday we went shopping down town, and we went to the Jungle Street Kitchen cafe again for lunch because it's my birthday on Monday but the cafe's not open on a Monday.
We set off, me with the trolley and Mum with her walker. It was very hot. We went round Stowe Pool on the bottom path were there was more shade but it didn't really stop the sun from shining on us.
First thing we did was go to the toilet by the Cathedral, but we went into the other bigger disabled toilet round the corner which has much more room in it.
Then we went to Superdrug to get some Nurofen lemon melts but they didn't have any, so we decided to look for some in Boots later.
Next we went to the building society so that my Mum could get some money out and while she was doing that I sat on the soft seat. When she'd finished she came over and sat on the soft seat too for a bit.
When it was nearly 12:00 midday we set off for the Jungle Street Kitchen cafe to have our lunch. We already knew what we wanted. We both had a Salmon Catch. I had a Pomegranate and Elderflower drink that came in a little bottle to go with it and Mum had a blackcurrant and lemonade as usual. Mum warned me that the chilli mayo that they put under the salmon would be a bit spicy, but actually it wasn't, it was fine. I really enjoyed my salmon, it was delicious. It came with potatoes and spinach and a slice of lime, which I ate in it's entirety! Mum doesn't know how I can do that!
All the way through my lunch I was saying to myself, please play Sam Ryder, please play Sam Ryder! And then they did! This time it was the song Mountain that they played and I was singing along! I was a very happy bunny!
After I'd finished my lunch I had some vegan ice cream and my Mum had waffles with strawberry ice cream on the side. My vegan ice cream only came in vanilla but it was very nice, and it had chocolate sauce and sprinkles on top.
After we'd finished we went to the toilet in the cafe and then we went off to The Works where I had a £2.41 voucher to spend. I got a tall tube of paint brushes with a canvas bag and another sketch book. They took the amount of voucher off at the till. I can't remember how much I had to pay in the end.
After that we went to the place where I get my photos printed and I got 10 photos printed again, 2 of the little dog, 1 where he's with his owner, some ducks and some scenes around Lichfield and also a few of Sam Ryder. I'm going to give the ones of the dog and his owner to his owner when I go again to art class this week. It cost the same as last week!
Then we went to Boots and got some of those lemon melts. We got 2 packets to last us. When we were in there we saw Ali's Mum and Dad. We were talking to them for a bit. You could tell Ali's Dad was looking a bit vague. He's got dementia.
When Mum went to pay she got out her Boots card. I didn't even know she'd got a Boots card!
Next we went to Iceland (the shop not the country!) and we got some more of the slimming world cereal bars that my Mum likes, 3 packets of Sea Bass for me (£5 each or 3 for £20), some strawberries and some garlic bread. They had some pizza style garlic bread but it didn't have the cheese on it, so instead we had bagel style garlic bread, already sliced. There were 6 in a packet.
Then we went and payed and then we went to the toilet by the Cathedral again. This time I went to the one in the main block where we usually go. I ran ahead because I was bursting. (Well, when I say ran ahead, I don't actually mean ran, I couldn't run!) When Mum came in she said she'd gone to the other disabled toilet round the corner first and then when she saw I wasn't there came into the main block.
After that we set off for home on the bottom path around Stowe Pool again. Mum decided to have a sit down on the seat of her walker, and as I had nowhere to sit I decided to carry on. I don't like just standing around, it makes my legs ache. I have to either be sitting down or moving. So I decided to keep going and sit on the bench by St Chad's Church to wait for my Mum. On the way I saw that guy that I saw on Tuesday again! My Mum thinks his name is Neil. I told him I was going to sit on the bench by St Chad's Church. I also told him to say hello to my Mum if he saw her, I said she was on the bottom path by Stowe Pool somewhere.
So I went and sat on the bench by St Chad's Church. After a while my Mum arrived and we sat on the bench for a while. We watched this great big crow or something. When it took flight you could hear it's wings flapping!
So then we went back home. I unpacked the groceries and put them away, and took my stuff into my bedroom. Mum had got my step-dad a chicken curry for his dinner but he didn't want it!
Anyway, how are you?
I hope you are having a good weekend.

You had a busy Friday. We went to Italy to get our weekly magazines, but we only went out to the Newsstand and back home, I did not go grocery shopping in Italy. Today is very hot. We walked by the lake early this morning, but we stay inside this afternoon.

I did have a busy Friday. I hope you enjoyed your trip out in Italy. Today started off cooler but it's started to heat up again now. Your walk by the lake sounds very pleasant, I hope you enjoyed that. We had thunderstorms on Saturday!

@sharonelton Your Friday was more eventful than mine, but at least I didn’t have to use a public lavatory. I did walk quite a distance though.

Yes, my Friday was very eventful. Don't you like using public lavatories?
How far did you walk?

@sharonelton I loathe public conveniences. What I look forward to most in coming back from holiday is a visit to my own toilet.

Yes, I know what you mean. What is the worst thing for you about public lavatories? For me it's the fact other people keep coming in!
