It Never Rains…

After my visiting mum in the nursing home near Peterborough, I was hoping that events were settling down. Her flat was being modified so she could retain her independence and was planned to move back this past Monday.
Unfortunately she had a fall and broke a hip. Turns out she actually broke her femur and there may have been a bit of internal bleeding. Surgery to repair the injuries was successful and the day after they were encouraging mum to to do some exercises.
As I was in Peterborough, I took plenty of photos. Here is one of City’s older building. I think the picture explains it all!

I'm so sorry your mom fell and got hurt. I hope she heals from the injuries and the surgery quickly.
You always post such interesting historical photos. Thank you for that.

@Ronrybs I understand.... As long as she's having fun, it's all good.
I like watching stuff about history. I'm not so much about doing the exploring myself.

@DaddyEvil I, too, have been pretty lax about getting out and about just lately. My list of things to visit is getting ever longer and nothing has been crossed off for a while

@RebeccasFarm She is in Lincoln at the moment following a complication, but could well be enroute to Skegness and a seaside nursing home for some rehab and therapy

Mum seems quite cheerful, all things considered. It is a bit tough sitting down in, near London, while it is all happening over 100 miles away. Thank you, at first I didn't think it the photos had come out, but not bad. Sadly, some others didn't make it
