18 July - What I'm Thankful for Today

Today has been a very good day.
I'm thankful for the sleep I got last night. Six and a half hours, I think. I can't remember if I got up at 2:30 or 3. Either way, it was a good sleep.
I'm thankful I got all my work done on the computer before I left this morning. I hate getting behind.
I'm thankful for Bible study this morning. It was a wonderful discussion time. And I learned something. That's the reason I go, to learn.
I'm thankful for the shopping trip to Hy-Vee. I remembered everything I forgot the last time I was there and a couple of added items I needed too. I've been home for a while, and nothing comes to mind that I might have forgotten. This is a first. 
I'm thankful I had lunch and lunch 2. I thought I could get away with only a cheese sandwich when I got home. I couldn't. This time, I'm within my calorie budget.
I'm thankful for the beautiful birthday card from Marilyn. I would put her username, but I can't remember it correctly. Is it @Marilynda1225? I hope so.

What an adorable birthday card, I especially love the snowflake detail.
I hope that it was an incredible birthday and that the year will be just as wonderful.
I have a birthday on the 20th.
But I am feeling down today, I always feel down around my birthday.
Hopefully I snap out of it as there is no reason to feel down.

@just4him Andria Perry, Gilly and I all celebrate on the 20th.
I often get like this around my birthday.
Years ago I spend my birthday as a very sick patient in the hospital, many miles away from my family and all alone on that day. I often think back to the strength that I showed on that day.

@just4him Aside from the basic things that I already have. I am always thankful for the same things everyday. That's why I said I'm praying for something wonderful other than being alive.
Being alive means walking up still breathing every morning and having the basic necessities in life.

I am thankful they finally got Chilly's blood drawn. He looks good, but they had to knock him out to do it. Silly cat. He's recovering nicely on the couch because he doesn't want to be in the bedroom. I left the door open if he wanted to get food and water. I put it on the floor until he feels strong enough to get on the bed.
