One Tired Corgi

We started the day with rain and thunderstorms. Our plan was to start the day with a nice hike before it got hot. Needless to say ...
When the rain did stop and the sun came out, I wanted to go to the aquatic center and check out the pool K wanted to go for the hike we missed out on in the morning. We compromised and hiked to the aquatic center. K got her hike, and I got to look at the pool area.
This evening, we ate dinner with a few members of our camping club who have arrived early. One of the couples prepared pulled pork barbeque in the eastern North Carolina style. (The only way to correctly prepare pork bbq.) We enjoyed a delicious meal and some great conversation.
Now, we are back in our camper and winding down from the day. As you can see in the photo, Sophie has already drifted off to sleep. She gets to hang out on the couch while I'm still working. When I shut down the computer and get up from my chair, she'll slide off the couch and go to her crate.
That was my Wednesday.

We went to an early morning appointment and had waited two hours when Pretty got impatient and insisted we go home... so it was wasted time. I'll have to go back when she's not with me because I actually NEED to talk to them. (Pretty is still asleep. I didn't get enough sleep today and have a 7 am appointment at the doctor's office in Springfield in the morning. It should be a fun day.)
I hope you're having a good evening and will have a restful night.

@DWDavis Thank you. I hope so, too. It's a doctor I don't like and don't know why I'm being forced to see him again.

@DaddyEvil — I’d be screaming. Most places have signs up that say “If you’ve been waiting longer than 20 minutes past your scheduled appointment time please see the front desk.” Having said that, this afternoon I made an appointment for my dermatologist next month, and I deliberately got the first appointment in the morning. Any appointment after that, he’s running late.

Sophie is so sweet! I had a part Corgi, part Chihuahua dog once, and he (Sherlock), was my favorite dog ever (don't tell my much loved Sadie).
I picked up a friend who needed a ride while her car was being repaired, and we did some running around. It was nice to spend time with someone you know you can let your guard down with.

I enjoyed my day working at home sharing good news stories on this site as well as completing surveys under a hot day outside with air conditioning working well inside the home.
