It's Crazy

A few days ago and my hubby and I were sitting outside and he was asking me how to take pictures at night without flash. I just use the normal picture mode. I was surprised by all the options that were on my phone. I mean it's crazy that you can take a picture of the stars with the Starry mode and with the long exposure I shot this pic. It's not professional like a DSRL but still blew my mind how powerful a smartphone is nowadays.
Do you use all the modes on your smartphone? If not you might wanna try them. I bet you'll be as surprised as I am.

No, I don't bother using a lot of things my phone can do. I don't need them.
That is a good photo, though.

@BabeSays I sold all kinds of phone for the last 14 years that I worked. Home phones, dumbphones and smartphones from a lot of manufacturers. I was the salesperson for the electronics department where I worked.

@DaddyEvil De you lived my dream. How does that makes you feel? I also wish to work at such a place surrounded by phones or tech stuff.

I know I’d be surprised because you know how bad I am with anything to do with my phone. I had a hard time figuring out how to send you a video!
The picture you included is just gorgeous! I’ll have to take a look at my own phone, and see what options are available.

@AmbiePam That's wonderful. You know I am crazy about technology. Whenever someone or any relatives (my hubby's side) need to buy a laptop or smartphone they'd always ask my advice.
I am madly in love with all things technology can provide. I wish I could have worked in such a store. But they need a certificate even thou I have more knowledge about the products they sell than themselves. It sucks.

Yes, I remember that very well. I mean every day we can learn something. I am glad my hubby asked me that question. I found answers to many more. What's best about this, it's that there is an option to shoot RAW. Can you believe it's a smartphone shooting in RAW. I burst into tears when I found that out.
Yes do play around with all the options you get.

My phone has the option of taking raw photos and also has different camera modes. It could take photos that's equivalent to the quality of a dslr. But I hardly use it. I prefer taking macro shots.

@toniganzon That's awesome. It used to be my passion. Something I wanted to pursue but destiny choose otherwise for me.

Yes sometimes our phone has a lot more features than we know. I found some advance features about my phone today i didn't know I could do.
What camera do you have? I used to have a Nikon D5500. It was 24MP and did a pretty good job. Night time I can tell you that it was a beast. I love how it could capture so many details in the dark. I'm guessing you might have a canon right?

no I just use normal photo mode. But once I did play around with filtering, but I didn't really like it.
