Hi, everyone. Instant update time. I’ve made it to Buffalo! And I didn’t see a single buffalo on the way. I’m at my destination, the USS The Sullivans. Bit first, lunch!!! No myLotters today. I don’t know what to do! Y’all have a fine afternoon and I’ll report in later!

You should hijack one of those navy ships and go on a wild sea adventure! Think of the fun (and damage) you could cause!

I could do that…”I’m from the Navy and I’m here to inspect her.”

@moffittjc — the most terrifying words anyone can hear (“I’m from the government…”)!!!

@FourWalls That made me think of that line “I’m from the government and I’m here to help.” Lol

Hubby would enjoy this. I remember when we traveled to the east coast. We spent a whole day traipsing through a humongous ship. I was exhausted; and all I wanted to do was find Lizzie Borden's house....we couldn't find it; and I was p****d. Drive safely.

Ships are like Civil war battlefields…to those not interested, see one and you’ve seen ’em all. But I love ships….obviously!

@LindaOHio — subs are not for the claustrophobic!

@FourWalls It was interesting; but it was so much walking. The ship was huge. Submarines are a little more interesting for me.

Enjoy your time there. I probably shouldn't ask how Buffalo got its name.

If you’ve ever seen those thick coats on a bison, that’s about how the residents of Buffalo dress for the winter.

That's because, we're Bills, and unless the animal is at a zoo or farm, there are no mammals called Buffalo here in New York, or anywhere in America. We have bison. The buffalo is an African and Asian species. In their article: "It's Bison, Not Buffalo. And Other American Bison Facts," the folks at the National Zoo said, "Historians believe that early European explorers are to blame, though the details are a bit murky. According to the National Park Service, it’s possible it stemmed from the French word boeuf, meaning beef. Others posit that bison hides resembled buff coats commonly worn by military men at the time, inspiring the name. Whatever the case, the misnomer stuck." And, always remember that "Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo."

And there was also the opening line to a Little Feat song that said “I was buffaloed in Buffalo.”
