Ah..that’s what’s been missing for two weeks! My Chuy’s chicken taco salad! What you haven’t been missing is this countdown of songs that were on the memorandum that Clear Channel Communications sent to radio stations after 9/11. What do you know, one I can almost understand being on the list! Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap - AC/DC Key word being almost. The title comes from a Beany and Cecil character’s business card. The song reflects a humorous look at a guy who hired himself out for everything from gigolo to a hit man using “concrete, cyanide, TNT” to off a victim. Well, we couldn’t have that after 9/11, could we. I’m not a big AC/DC fan, but the stuff of theirs I do like is the Bon Scott era. Here’s Bon in all his growling glory on one of their classics. Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap Written by Angus Young, Bon Scott, and Malcolm Young Recorded by AC/DC From Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, 1976 Just ring 36-24-36:

Not familiar with AC/DC's music and definitely don't know this one. Have a great weekend.

@FourWalls Sounds good. We sleep in our recliners. I sit up; hubby reclines a little bit.

AC/DC is my all-time favorite rock 'n roll band. I've seen every tour of theirs since Flick of the Switch in 1983. I love the Bon Scott era, and this is a great song. Funny that I cam across your post on this song and band, as I'm currently reading a history of the band.

How cool! I’ve watched overview documentaries about them but that’s about it.

@FourWalls I just love their early music, which was so blues-based. Chuck Berry was a huge influence on their early musical style.

I always liked this song, especially the refrain. I never paid much attention to the lyrics. I enjoyed the drive and rhythm.

The parody is a riot. (Not for little kids and not for eating or drinking during!)

@FourWalls That was hilarious, if a bit disturbing. It reminded me of the old joke, "Way back when, in the days of yore, when men were men, and sheep were nervous."

Hey! A song I do recognize! One of my friends played this on a loop in his car for weeks! I got so tired of it.

I love that song. And it makes a lot more sense than the others so far.

There are a couple that I can say, “Okay, you might have a point there.” This is one of them.

Yeah, he had a voice. To me, Brian Johnson sounds like any other hard rock singer, but Bon’s voice was clearly unique.
