A Quick Shower

It was bright and sunny this morning when suddenly I heard thunder rolling and rain began pouring down. I had books and paper on the deck so I went out to bring them in the apartment. I figured it wouldn’t rain long so I snapped a picture. I was right. The sun came out before the rain stopped. As the saying goes, the devil was beating his wife. In just a few minutes the rain stopped and I went out to the gym to ride the stationary bike. The AC was on high and it was nice and cool. No one was there so I had the gym to myself. I pedaled my five miles, lifted a few light weights and headed back to my apartment just in time to get caught in another quick shower. I finished the book, When Olivia Fell. One of the best book of fiction I’ve read. I’m not sure what I’ll read next, probably a story by Mark Twain.

It must feel good to have the gym only for urself. I would love that when I go haha. We also had a very quick shower here this evening. The weather is cooler so I’m happy. How was the book, what is it about?

I love having the gym to myself. I usually do but occasionally someone will be there. The book was about a pregnant girl who either fell or was pushed off the bridge and her mother’s effort to find the truth. It brought tears to my eyes.

Good that you finished the book. I too have finished a book recently. I might bring out a post on that soon. I too have witnessed such quick showers. At times, such showers happen even with bright sunlight on! Have a nice week ahead !!

It does occasionally happen . I was surprised to see the sun shining so brightly and rain falling.

We have had severe thunderstorms warnings off and on all day but nothing so far. We had storms yesterday for a short time. I welcome the rain when the weather is in the 90s.

Seems that rain was not quite done beating his wife. That's an unusual saying Ruby, first time I've ever heard that one. I think having the gym to yourself allows for a more efficient and focused workout. No waiting on using the equipment.

We had a terrible storm here on Monday. A lot of trees down from it. No confirmed tornados for us but in 2 surrounding counties there was. Glad you didn't have such a storm.
