Another meal under my belt - just call it Beef and Noodles

I cooked again today. I've made better, but it was not bad. Unfortunately, some of the egg noodles didn't get cooked. I think that's because there wasn't enough liquid and the rest of the noodles sucked it away from those few.
I had actually wanted to make a deconstructed shepherd's pie (aka cottage pie because it's beef, not lamb) with the mashed potatoes on the plate with the peas, carrots and gravy on top. But, I just wasn't feeling it.
So, I had the meat browned, added the bag of frozen peas and carrots and enough liquid to cook them, but realized I'd need more liquid for the noodles. I also used Better Than Bouillon beef base and one pack of brown gravy. I probably should have used 5 cups of water, but I only used 4.
Like I said, it turned out OK-ish. There's leftovers and they'll get eaten. The image is my bowl.

@jerzgirl Based on the picture I don't think you have too many peas at all. But sour cream usually does add a bit of zing and creaminess, which is a nice touch. Either way, the nice thing about something like this is that you can keep trying it until you get a perfect recipe and then it's onward and upward.
I remember trying several different ways with both my spaghetti sauce and potato salad before I came up with what I thought was "just right."

Your food looks okay, sorry it wasn't as good as you hoped it would be.
Have you ever tried cooking noodles called Knorr Sides? I cook 1 lbs of ground beef (or shredded chicken), one medium onion, diced and cook until the meat and onions are done. Drain the liquid off if it's ground beef. Then I add two packs of Knorr Sides Cheddar and Broccoli into the same pan with the cooked beef and onions and follow the directions on the packages.
It comes out really delicious! And there are lots of different flavors in the Knorr Sides so you aren't eating the same things all the time.
Today I used shredded boiled chicken, added some Season All and one medium onion and cooked them together until the onions were clear and added Knorr Sides Four Cheese Pasta to the pan and cooked it according to the directions. It's really good.
I always have leftovers and put a serving size portions into Tupperware bowls, let them cool, put the lids on and stack them in the fridge. They'll stay good for about a week that way.
You can add other veggies and different spices if you like but don't really need to.

I bought a Knorr broccoli alfredo package intending to add chicken and full sized broccoli (rather than the tid bit pieces in the package). I haven't done it yet, but generally I like Knorr sides. I'll have to try the one you did. We like broccoli and alfredo and chicken. Might just work!! Thanks!

@jerzgirl You're very welcome. I also add more broccoli than the tiny bits already found in those packs. Pretty won't eat anything with broccoli so I get that all to myself.
