Thanks to the concerns of the Alaska SeaLife Center in North Point who saw a walrus calf wandering by himself in the sea about four miles away from the Beaufort Sea in the North Slope inland on Tuesday August 1. The walrus calf could have passed away had the rescuers not taken care of the animal when they did by taking the seal to a warehouse to take care of for the evening when the sea was then taken to the same facility where the seal had suffered from dehydration, a cloudy eye and malnourished. The seal will remain at the animal care facility where the seal is making progress in getting healthier. Link is upi.com/2071691426345 via @upi

Hopefully they'll be able to release it back into the wild at some stage.

It is good that we have these centers around the world to help safe guard the animals.
