I am fascinated with the video I saw on Twitter.
The structure at the middle of the road looks like a house or is it an outpost?
I can't find it on Google or maybe I am searching the wrong keyword.
On the comment, it says this is located in China. Other posted a similar scenario in UK where a farmer did not want to sell his property to the government.

The photo posted on Twitter is old, that house has been demolished ages ago
The home of an elderly couple in Wenling, Zhejiang province, China, has finally been destroyed. After previously refusing to move, the couple finally accepted a compensation package.

thanks Anna. I'll read the link.At least the house owners surrendered and accepted the compensation which I think is so small.

Hmmmm reminds me of a house near SM.... The owner didn't want to sell their property to SM so their house is not touched.
I am not sure if it will be the same if it's on a road here in the Philippines... I think you can't do anything if the government will take your property, after paying you. But the sad thing, they will pay you lower than the fair market value of your property.

That's right.
I think the mall is SM North EDSA, The building is still there in between the Main SM and the Annex building

That's really wild. It looks like a house that the owner did not want to sell when the freeway was coming through. Enjoy your weekend.
