I Knew It Couldn't Possibly Last

I have been so tickled the last couple of weeks or so with the temp being lower. I've sure enjoyed it. So has my daughter who is the one who has to go out in it. But, in looking at the upcoming forecast it looks like it won't last much longer. Next Tuesday it will be back at over 100 again. I knew August was not going to be cool for long. It was nice to have it lower for a few days. I am thankful. Now if I can just keep busy and allow August to go by quickly I will hope for a mild Cheyenne Autumn and be a happy camper. Just hope August isn't too hot. It got up to 112 I think last summer. Not into that at all.

Same here. By Halloween, it will be chilly and I'll enjoy it until late December.

@celticeagle I agree. We're supposed to start getting hotter after the storms are all done here. We got another half an inch so far today. We're under another flash flood warning.

I live in Central New York near the Finger Lakes and hate summer, especially August, but this one has surprised me. The highest temperature on most days has been in the 70s. That's unseasonably cool. Looking ahead, we have maybe ten more days of 80° temperatures. Then, it's on to autumn. Some trees are already losing leaves.

It's around this time of year that start praying for October weather. Spring and Autumn are my favorite seasons. Not too hot, not too cool and just enough humidity to breathe easily.

That is what I do. Looking forward to Halloween. Spring and Autumn are my favorites too. Don't care for the extreme parts of either season.
