Money (in one hand and out the other)

Happy Tuesday Everyone! it's a sun shiny day today and the temperatures have dropped. No dealing with oppressive heat and humidity today. I actually turned off my a/c and have the windows open. I feel as if my a/c has been running 24/7 for months and I'm sure I'm going to get clobbered with an enormous electric bill. Trying to find ways to cut back on expenses is getting harder and harder. The rising cost of everything makes it difficult. Do you have any tips for stretching your money?

We buy a lot of generic items. Other than that, we are paying the inflated prices. I am going to do a series on saving money here really soon. Have a great day.

Another heat advisory here, all week. triple digits return. I buy many things (online) in bulk and save money, also get free shipping.

Free shipping is a bonanza when you can get it. Shipping can sometimes be more than what you're buying

As for me, I only run heat or AC when absolutely necessary. That wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea though. Bills can be a killer...hate them.

I hate those bills too. I just got my property tax bill and that went up a bit too.

I especially find it hard to save anything on groceries. The high prices just keep going up and we're getting less for more money

@Marilynda1225 I know. When I cooked wings the other night, the pan I cook in usually was not as full. I paid the same amount that I’ve been normally paying, but we got less wings. That really stinks.

@Tampa_girl7 prices go up and packaging has shrinked. We're paying more for less

Our "normal" electric bill for a month is $80. Running the A/C 24/7 raises it to $130 a month. We can handle that. I have no idea how to stretch money.

@Marilynda1225 Our electric bill and gas bill are on that plan but that is only for the "basic" amount. Those two bills are never the same from one month to the next. During the Summer, we don't use gas so the bill is $20 a month. During the Winter, it can go as high as $150. (I used to have the gas shut off during the Summer so I didn't have to pay that $20 but then the gas company said they'd start charging $100 for people who shut it off during the Summer. *sigh*) I can't manage without the A/C.

My electric bill is on the budget plan so I pay the same amount each month and it usually averages out by years end. I'm sure I'll owe extra this year I'd rather give up something else and enjoy the a/c

I look for good deals and buy in bulk. I turn on the a/c only when it's really hot. Otherwise, I use fan.

I buy in bulk too and divide it and freeze the portions. My daughter has asthma so we need the a/c on probably more than other people. Thankfully today it's cool enough to turn it off and give it a rest.

I think you will have to go only for your needs and not wants. That should help a bit

I try to use coupons, buy in bulk, and not waste food. I know these are little things, but it all counts.

I buy in bulk too and divide it all into portions and freeze. Every little bit helps but it's getting harder and harder with the skyrocketing prices

I have been enjoying open windows and fresh air for the past week also. I hang some of my laundry, that saves on the electricity bill, I have always done that, even when we lived in town when we were first married. I had lines and hangers in the basement and hung stuff there. Cloth diapers were always hanging in the basement when our son was a baby.

Do a manifesting for a few days. Imagine you are already in the aftermath of receiving money and how great it feels, be in the vibration of money to attract it to you. By having the feeling of already having the money, is how you put yourself in the vibration of it. Imagine how or on what you're spending it on. You can think up something specific as to how you will receive this money, and then let it go and don't think about it. Sometimes some money will turn up in small amounts which is a sign that it is working but starting small rather than big all at once.

When I shop online, I go through Rakuten, and, of course, I try to earn on survey sites to help. My electric bill in the summer is a nightmare in the summer because I can’t take the heat. In the winter though, my electric bill is a dream because the cold rarely bothers me. And, if it starts too, I just put on sweats, and two pairs of socks.
