I may have posted a few months back about buying a new battery for The Beast.
Today, I bought a new battery for K's car. It nearly left her stranded at work Thursday evening if not for the help of one of her co-workers who provided a jump start.
As with the old battery for The Beast, the one in K's car was over four years old. Both were only rated for three years. We count ourselves lucky to have gotten an extra year out of each of them.
K's car is running fine now. I am concerned, though, about our planned December drive to California and back. The car is eight years old and will have at least 140,000 miles on it when we leave on our trek.
Have you ever driven across the US? Or any other trip measured in the thousands of miles?

The furthest we ever went in a car was Ohio to the east coast and back. Our trip to California we flew to San Diego, rented a car and drove from Mexico to Vancouver, Canada. Enjoy your Sunday.

I sure would not be travelling that far in a car that I am worried about.
Yes I have driven many many miles..across country you may say.
I had a good car at the time.
