Cooking With Lavender

I love lavender. Every aspect of the dear plant-oil, color, scent, flower. What is there not to like? I remember one time when I was still living with my ex. There was a grill out back. One summer evening we were having friends over for dinner. I had taken a good sized pork roast out to thaw but couldn't decide how I wanted to fix it. I make some potato salad and then went out to pick some flowers and herbs for an arrangement. I took a deep whiff of the lavender as I clipped a few stems. There I had it! I'd use lavender and rosemary on the outside and roast it in foil. With garlic and oil I slathered it with a lot of lavender. Oh! Did I get rave reviews!

I like garlic on pork, never had it with lavender.

It is nice to know that your love for the color lavender is well liked. The late singer Whitney Houston was known for liking lavender as her favorite color.
