Burning Man attacked by Dinosaur Shrimp

Reports from Nevada indicate the flooding that trapped 70,000 plus at the Burning Man Festival also awakened the rare Dinosaur Shrimp. These prehistoric three-eyed shrimp look similar to horseshoe crabs. These triops, as they are called, grow to only 3 inches in length and are not believed to be carnivorous. The humans that encountered them were never in danger of becoming prey to these tiny vegetarians. According to scientists who know about such things, these little crustaceans which are not truly shrimp, have existed in their current form for about 400 million years, though DNA analysis shows the modern version is probably only 25 million years old. You can learn all about them at this website: How cool would it be to see these Dinosaur Shrimp emerging and scuttling about in the mud?
These curious critters were awoken in the Nevada desert after intense flooding upended Burning Man 2023. Here’s what you need to know about them

They what?? How weird! Your headline sounds like something from a sensationalist newspaper! Don't believe in the ages though, because God only created the universe about 6,000 years ago!

The crustaceans are real. Your idea of the age of the Earth is due to a mistranslation of the original Hebrew. You cannot trust English language versions of the Bible to be accurate since every single one of them was translated by an organization with an agenda. In the original Hebrew, God created the Universe over the course of eight eras or periods of indeterminate length. Each may not have lasted the same amount of time and may have lasted millions or billions of our years.

@sharonelton I won't try to dissuade you from believing in a mistranslation if you've set your mind. But you should do your own research into why the English language versions of the Bible are not necessarily correct on many counts instead of blindly putting your faith into something constructed by entities with political agendas not related to faith.

@DWDavis I'm not denying the crustaceans are real! I believe the bible 100% sorry and I know that Man was created on day six. I know people did live a lot longer when the human race was young, but they didn't live for millions of years! God created the heavens and the earth in six days and rested on the seventh. We know this is true because in the original hebrew when the word for day is accompanied by the words evening and morning and a number, it means one actual 24 hour day. So when it says in Genesis And the evening and the morning were the first day, second day, etc, it means one actual 24 hour day! When the word for day is not accompanied by evening and morning, and a number, then that can mean a long period of time. It's the evolutionists that have the agenda!

K told me about these dino-shrimp last night. She read about it while browsing the web. The idea is rather intriguing.

@LadyDuck They are fascinating little creatures. To think, they can spend years dormant in the dry lake bed and wake up when it rains.

It would be cool to me unless I was stuck there. Otherwise, I’d enjoy getting a look.

Being stuck there would have been awful. I wonder how many festival goers will decide never to go back.

I wouldn’t mind them as long as they didn’t crawl all inside my tent! Haha When I lived in south Florida, my grandma’s house was right on the beach. But her backyard backed up to the intracoastal waterway, and during mating season millions of little crabs would basically infest yards, roads and anything else they could walk or climb on. It really sucked because you could not walk or drive anywhere without crushing hundreds of them.

Were those the little fiddler crabs with the one big claw? I didn't realize they swarmed like that.

@DWDavis I’m not sure what kind of crabs they were, but they were small. And they had two claws.

Lake Eyre in the very centre of Australia comes alive with birds and fish on the rare occasions when it floods. It must be a great experience to see fish way out there.

I don't think I want to see them. I'm not into creatures like that. And I am especially not into being in crowds of people like that.
