K is working from home today. Sophie is staying down in K's office to keep her momma company. Ace is taking this opportunity to leave his bed in the hall nook and spend time in my office with me. I submitted a new story to The Fiction Writer's Den yesterday. My editor (aka Son1) has asked me to send him the rewrites of Chapter 3 of Sea, Sand, & Sabine. He thinks he'll have time to go over it this weekend. That's my next task today. Do you have plans for the weekend?

My plan to clean off the sunroom roof and rain gutter was canceled by a series of thunderstorms and now it's raining.

@JudyEv No. Our rain gutters carry the water downslope of the house where they eventually drain into the creek along the edge of our property or into the pond in our woods. We are on the county water system for our household water.

@DWDavis Do you run the gutters into tanks? We don't now we've moved but on our farmlet, all our house water came from rainwater tanks.

I don't think so unless something changes. Right now the plan is to watch lots of football on Sunday. It should be cooler so maybe I will try to check out some yard sales. Not sure though...it has been kind of a busy week.

It's handy and affordable. He doesn't charge me. His pleasure is in getting to correct his father. Son1 is a tough editor. He pulls no punches.

I have two big tasks I want to tackle since we'll be home this weekend. One is to clean the rain gutter on the sunroom. It's the only one that doesn't have a leaf shield. The other is to wash the camper. This is a major undertaking.
