It was dark in the Sunroom this morning

Pee O'clock came about 5:30 this morning when Ace started pacing between my side of the bed and the gate at the top of the stairs. Side note: The gate is there to keep him from falling down the stairs while he is pacing his dementia circles. K started to get up but I told her I'd take care of the dogs. Seconds later, a light snore from her side of the bed let me know she was cool with the idea. I slipped into my robe, let Sophie out of her crate, and picked up Ace. Second side note: he has to be carried down the stairs. He can still go up them. The three of us went downstairs and out into the yard. They both did their business quickly and headed back inside, knowing breakfast was next. After I fed them breakfast, I brought my laptop out here to the sunroom. By then it was a little after 6 a.m. and still dark. The irony of a dark sunroom struck me and inspired this post. It is a pleasant 70F this morning. I'm still in the sunroom but not in the dark any longer. I suppose I should go upstairs and get dressed. How is/was your Sunday? Is anything special happening today?

It's 6:30 am here and still totally dark outside. It's also 53F, too. I've been listening to my laptop read to me for a while now and wondering if I feel like making something for breakfast this morning. I hope you have a good day.

I wish we could split the difference between your morning temp and mine. The low 60s would have been wonderful and refreshing this morning. I haven't had breakfast yet, either. K is up now and working in the kitchen on the big lunch she has planned for Son2 and GF when they come for lunch. Enjoy your day.

@DWDavis I don't mind the temp. I still wear jean shorts, a tank top and sandals until the temp goes into the 40s. It's finally starting to get light outside here and I'm thinking a smoked turkey sandwich sounds good right now. I hope you find something delicious for breakfast, too. Thanks, I'm planning on going to sleep in a little bit.

@DaddyEvil After I get dressed, I might make myself a cheese omelet and cook up some mini-tater tots in the air fryer. Then, I'll have to start on K's honey-do list of things she wants done before the kids get here for lunch.

You take such good care of your dogs. Our Sunday was very quiet. Watched the Cleveland Browns win their game. Will wonders never cease? Nothing special happening today. Have a good week.

For the first time in a while, we stayed below 90F all day. I'm sure the heat index crossed the line but it's an improvement.

@dwdavis Isn’t a darkish early morning just the best.

I enjoy mornings like this when I can sit in the sunroom, browsing the web the way my dad used to browse the newspaper, and enjoy a cup of coffee as the day goes from dark to dawn to light.

We go away tomorrow so have a bit of shopping to do - and tonight we're going to a concert - and it's our 52nd wedding anniversary. And here I was about to say nothing special happening today.
