12 September - What I'm Thankful for Today

Today was a very laid-back day. I'm so thankful for days like this. I'm thankful for the eight hours of sleep I got last night. I've been getting more sleep since I got my mattress topper. It has really made a huge difference in a good night's sleep. I'm thankful for Bible study this morning. We had a surprise this morning as the study was called off again this week because the woman who leads it has been so sick. She showed up this morning. We didn't have the study, it was a lot like last week, but it was so wonderful to see her back. I'm thankful for the shopping trip to Hy-Vee after the Bible study. I didn't have a lot I needed, but I wanted to get my steps, so as I walked the aisles, I saw things I needed, so I didn't only get bananas. I got steps and $100+ in groceries too. I left the store with over 4K steps. I'm thankful for the short walk I got this afternoon. I now have my 6K steps. I also stopped into my friend's apartment down the hall and talked with her for over an hour. I'm so thankful for her friendship and for getting me in touch with the Tuesday morning Bible study. She's become a valuable friend. I'm thankful Prevea Health is back online. They had a cyber-attack last month and it took a long time to get it working again. I just made my appointment to see a new doctor this Friday. I expected a long wait and was surprised by an appointment this week. Okay, that's my day. I wasn't here much, so I didn't get the notifications done. I will be here tomorrow. I only have exercise and Bible study in the community room tomorrow, so I'm not leaving the building.
