It's a beautiful morning here in Kure Beach

The temperature is a pleasant 73F/22C. The tide is out and the ocean is calm. It looks like a great morning for fishing. Son2 and I will head down to the Oceanview Restaurant (formerly the Kure Beach Diner) for breakfast in a few minutes, and then try out luck on the pier. If you follow River Sailor Literary on Instagram, you can see some photos from yesterday and last night. I hope your Wednesday goes swimmingly. What are you up to today?

@LadyDuck You should have seen the ocean this morning when Son2 and I went to breakfast. Tropical Storm Ophelia was getting closer and the ocean was roiling with whitecaps all the way to the horizon. I posted a short video of the waves hitting the pier on the River Sailor Instagram, if you want to check it out.

Today has stayed lovely and didn't get too warm. More clouds coming in tomorrow and rain by Friday. We head home Friday morning, so I hope it rains and gets it over with because K and I are supposed to immediately turn around and go camping Friday afternoon.

@DWDavis One of them finally got in touch, thank goodness. I guess the other might succeed tomorrow. Yes, I think the doctor had good news overall. Although, honestly, I have such a hard time understanding what she says that she could tell me I had six weeks to live, and I might not realize it.

I love biscuits with sausage gravy. K makes the best. There are two places on the island that make it almost as good. The Ocean View where I took that picture, and the Southern Pie and Biscuit company at the north end of the island.

It's a dull and rainy day here in the Midlands of England. I hope you enjoy your breakfast in the Oceanview Restaurant and have luck on the pier. This afternoon we are going to be big Tesco again.
