A Great Night on the Pier

Son2 and I waited until dark to return to the pier both to avoid getting more sun and because I used to love pier fishing at night when I was a teen. My friends and I would stay out on the pier as late as our folks would allow.
To make it more fun, the fish were biting. We caught a combined 21 fish and one soft-shelled crab. The fish ranged from spot to croaker to pinfish. The crab got itself caught on one of my hooks.
Everything we caught was released back into the ocean. The crab was a bit tricky and tried to pinch me when I got him off the hook and released him back to the sea. Or it may have been trying to shake my hand for releasing it.
We are back at the cottage now. With all the outdoor activity we've had today, I imagine we'll sleep well tonight.
Tomorrow, we'll probably do some more fishing unless the wind on the pier gets too strong. The day is supposed to begin with small craft advisories because of the wind and there is a Gale Watch in effect. We will keep a careful eye out and see how things develop.

I am expecting a package from the health center for diabetic materials like needles to come in as well as medicines to come to my home as well.

It is more fun when you fish and catch something. That is great that you turned them loss again.
