How MyLot helped me make over 35 cents the other day!

I admit that I have a mathematical mind. I offer no apologies. Because humanities teachers often didn't like me, for whatever reason, the only way for me to get into a decent college was to get As in my high school math and science classes. As I was signing out from Guitar Center yesterday, or the day before, I glanced at the time on the clock. It said 8:34 PM, or 20:34 military time. I realized that if I could "take my time" signing out, it might be 8:35 PM by the time I was finished. I would be paid for an extra minute by Guitar Center Corporate, the same Company that gives me no breaks between lessons and pays me close to minimum wage if I'm there but don't have a student. As I scratched my bottom, itched my ear, and tried to nurse an extra minute out of Guitar Center, I calculated how much I would make if I could get the clock to shift to 8:35. If I make $15/hour for idle moments, that translates to $1.00 for four minutes, if my senile brain is right, that means I am making 25 cents a minute, even if I am only selling guitars and do not have a student. As I reached for my nose (my final delay tactic), the clock changed to 8:35, 20:35 in military time. I had won! When I got home, I checked my MyLot bank and found that I had had a decent day on MyLot, even though I had had to survive a busy "real world" work day. In all, I made 37 cents (including the extra quarter from Guitar Center, of course). with my antics. Have you ever done silly things to make a little bit of extra spending cash?

Not like that, no... When it was time to go home, I wanted to go home. Some people at Walmart would go into the break room for the last 15 minutes of their day and just sit, waiting on the time clock to check out. I preferred to stay busy so the time would go faster for me.

That's my "selling guitars" time. The sales guys have STILL not offered to by us lessons guys a pizza.

@TheHorse Of course not... They didn't ask you to help them make sales so see no reason to "reward" you for doing part of their job.

I cant think of one thing I could do to pay me for one more minute. I always clocked out right on time.

I am trying to follow the moral compass of our former "president," Donald Trump. (For the record, I always sign in on time at school and log out at my assigned time, even if I stay late to help other teachers, etc.)

Nope, I guess not unless you could include my constant attempts on survey sites but I have limited myself now. If I cannot complete up to four surveys then I go to another site. Luckily today I got to cash out on one site and $5 is mine.

Did you have to do five surveys to get five dollars? Is it worth it?

My previous comment makes no sense.I must have written it after I bought my evening bottle of Ch*rdonnay. I am glad I'm not the only one who does such things.

@TheHorse Nothing wrong with melodies in your head! Was your ch*rdonnay more oakey or buttery?

Not like that, but I DID do something silly to earn money once. I dressed up as a clown and made balloon animals for kids at my dad's company party. I got paid for it but I did act pretty silly!

Looks like a good time on Mylot as well as Guitar Center. I have sometimes posted casual Tea / Coffee talk to gain a few more cents. Apart from that I might have taken some penny saving decisions in some matters.
