Time For the Transiting Seasonal Shift

Are you making many changes in the seasonal shift? Of course, you will probably start wearing sweaters instead of T-shirts, heavier shoes, and heavier blankets on the beds. Do you use a humidifier in the dry winter months? I am thinking about it. The old ones I used to use you had to add more water continually. Do you have a free-standing stove or fireplace? We just have electric heat. I remember having a cole burning stove at my grandparent's home and it was very crisp in the mornings.
What other changes do you make when transitioning from summer to winter?

Not great changes here, just bedding, bringing out the comforters and I have a couple of free standing heaters..electric.
I have heat here finally in this apartment, but I can't turn it on, as my son's bed is right on top of the radiator..anyway it is gas run and the apartments pay for it..so because I don't use it, they are paying nothing.
Anyway the two small heaters suffice as our apartment is right up on top of the huge water boiler that is for the whole building..so the heat radiates in here making it 1000 degrees F in the summer..its always something, nothing can be easy for us here. Whatever place we get sucks.

We don't make many changes. We sleep in recliners so we don't have to change any bedding. We don't use a humidifier. I wear the same clothes all year around. We have gas heat. Have a good weekend.

I hate this time of year... practically need a parka early in the morning, then strip down to your underwear in the afternoon.

It's Autumn here but day temperatures makes one feel like mild summers.
Here, we just need light blankets till Early December.
After that we need jackets, sweaters, caps and if mercury goes very close to freezing, then we need gloves, else not.
But we do need an Air blower as we do not have the concept of central heating.

So that's much earlier than what we have to do.

My fish tank keeps the air in our house humid all year... I add about a gallon of water to the tank every week. I will continue to wear jean shorts, tank tops and sandals until the temps stay lower than 55F consistently... Pretty keeps our house warmer than my comfort level year round so I only use a sheet over me when I sleep.

Definitely sweater season. I'm wearing my hoodie now instead of just rushing out the door. It will soon be time to turn on the heat, but not this coming week yet as we're still in the 80s for a few days. Then we get into fall weather.

@celticeagle We have 80s this week, so it won't get turned on here for at least a few more days.

Yes, I'll put on flannel sheets soon. Our furnace is set to take the chill off in the morning. We have a gas fireplace in the living room that we've been using more.
Time to locate all the mitts and stuff.
We got a humidifier last winter. We have to add plenty of water.
We've started using it.
