A Few Laughs for the Day and Goodnight

I thought I would throw out a few highlights of my day before saying goodnight! The grandson had homecoming dance tonight and did not ask anyone to go with him. He said he was going to hang with the guys tonight. Around 1 pm he told me he was waiting for his dad to bring him a jacket to wear with his pants. He said he was going to the store and getting a jacket since he hasn't been by yet. Now his dad, my daughter's ex, is on the same pool team as my daughter. They rode to the tournament together. I didn't say anything at that point, just asked what color of pants he was wearing. He said gray. I then asked him if he thought the gray jacket that his mom brought in last night was the jacket his dad sent for him to borrow. He said he had no idea. I went and got the jacket out of HIS bathroom and showed him. He said, "Oh yeah, that will work!!" Problem solved!! Next laugh was when my granddaughter asked me to fill a bowl or pot for her to play with. This was going to be the "pool" for her dolls to have a swimming party. I said okay but you have to go outside on the balcony with it. I found a plastic bowl and filled it up with cold water and handed it to her. We both watched the water pour out from a slit in the side. I just said asked her why her mother even had that bowl in the cabinet. We both laughed and cleaned up the mess and then found another bowl. I'll be heading home tomorrow but visiting my other two daughters on the way home! Goodnight everyone!

Hmm... I may not have noticed the jacket or thought anything about it if I wasn't told it was there for me to use... Maybe that's just guy behavior. As far as the bowl with a split in the side, now that's funny! Have a good night. We'll see you later. Drive carefully, please.

Yeah, true, but he should of realized his dad couldn't leave the tournament either to bring a coat. I don't know where he got that from. I'm going to get a good night's sleep and take my time going home!

@kareng He's a teenager. They're the most self-centered things on the Earth. He just wasn't thinking.

I don't like throwing things out but I'd probably throw out a bowl with a slit in the side! lol

I think my grandson does dishes as one of his chores quite often, so can't put that one all on her!! That would be like him!!

Kids are hard to figure out sometimes. Why keep a bowl that leaks.

That was my question!! She said she didn't know it was split when I asked. Her son puts the dishes up so wasn't a chance for her to notice it putting up dishes.
