I've just been to the little Tesco.

After two weeks of not going because of the rain, I've just been to the little Tesco!
It was raining this morning, but it had gone off by the time I went to the shop. I checked my weather app, and it said rain, so I put my mac on just in case. It was dull when I went to the shop, but it didn't rain on me, and now that I'm back home, the sun's come out!
I posted some letters first, including an order for a new pair of trousers because Mum still can't get the plastic off mine after yesterday's incident with the washing machine, some competition entries and a postcard for @Gilljane
Then I continued on to the shop. I got a basket, and then I got the TV magazines as usual. Then I found some pitted dates, they were the last ones, so I grabbed them quick before anyone else got them!
I got a bounty bar for my step-dad, and 6 sliced buns. Then I saw some pretty sloths hanging up. They are like things that you hang on your bag. I fancied getting one, but I didn't know how much they cost. I couldn't see a price, so I left it. I might get one next week. I hope they are still there.
Then I got some strawberries and some blueberries for me in case I can't get any tomorrow. Then I got some Alpen with no added sugar for my Mum because she's nearly used up a box of them.
After that I got some egg custard tarts for my Mum and step-dad, and 2 bottles of milk.
I went and payed, and it came to just over £16, with discounts from TV magazine voucher and club card.
When I came out of the shop I checked to see if it was raining, and it wasn't, so that's good. Then I went home.
When I got home, my Mum was in the back porch trying to get the Henry hoover out to do some hoovering before the British Gas man comes to look at the washing machine. She moved out of the way to let me get in. Now I don't know when she's going to do the hoovering! She says she wants to check if the bags already full after my brother did some hoovering with it when we first got it.
Anyway, I gave Mum her change, her club card and magazine voucher, and her shopping list. Then I unpacked the groceries and put them away.
So, now can you guess what I'm watching?
Yes! Homes Under the Hammer! How did you know?
What are you lot getting up to?
I hope you are all well.
Have a nice day.

@sharonelton Are they noisy? We have a Vax and it's so noisy we have to wear ear defenders or just leave the house!

@Fleura I think it's a bit noisy but it's worth it to get that dirt off the carpet!

@sharonelton I remember you explained yesterday what happened when you tried to get your trousers out. May be that if there is a piece of plastic stuck, the British Gas man can fix it. Good luck.
My husband always likes the egg custard tarts.

@LadyDuck We still can't get the plastic off my trousers, and the washing machine can't be fixed, so we need to get a new washing machine.

It's complicated. The washing machine was making this terrible clanking noise on it's last spin. When I got the clothes out, my trousers were stuck and I couldn't get them out. I thought they were caught in the seal around the edge. I told my Mum, but then I managed to get the trousers out. When I looked I saw there was this piece of black plastic that was sticking one of my trouser legs to just under the waistband! We don't know where the plastic came from.and my Mum can't get the plastic off my trousers! Now the drum in the washing machine won't turn properly so some time this afternoon the British Gas man is coming to look at it and see if it can be fixed. If not we'll need to get a new washing machine.
I hope your husband likes his egg custard tarts.
Yes, the Henry hoover is very good.

I hope that works for you. My Grandma Brown used to have migraines and they are not pleasant.
I hope your trip to the post office was successful and you got what you wanted from the grocery store.

@sharonelton This was just for a cleaning. I'm not going because my knee hurts too much.

My pleasure and I look forward to receiving it.
Thank you for that. We're going to the big Tesco again this afternoon, so I'll be doing another big shop with my Mum.

We haven't been to the grocery store yet so my mother will go this afternoon. I will be getting some more strawberries. I have been looking at Halloween shirts on Temu. I am thinking about getting one. I also charged up my new earphones I bought. They will be backup to some earbuds I have. I'm hoping they will work good.

Our strawberries are going soft and mouldy. We have got another pot though, and we will be getting some more from the big Tesco again this afternoon. I hope you can get a Halloween shirt off Temu and I hope your earphones work well for you.
Have a nice day.
