They'd play that song on the AM stations here and a lot of us got a big kick outta it .... in 1965 I was just beginning to become interested in music largely because of the Beatles. This song was just too funny for all of us and we loved laughing at it.

@rebelann As a preteen and a teen I remember listening to the AM radio station out of Windsor, across the border from Detroit. I grew up on Detroit R&R and love it still.
