The pink hibiscus is turning violet in autumn. It is October now. From here on days will be shorter. In Calcutta sun sets by 5.15 pm. The pink hibiscus is planted in pots in the balcony. The change of colour may be due to less sunlight.

You could ask someone to stand by the hibiscus plant and talk to it day and night and see if that makes a difference in the color, too.

I'm sure exposure to the sun can result in a change of colour. Your hibiscus sounds very pretty.
