October Sunshine

Happy Monday Everyone! it's a beautiful sunny day here today and October has arrived.
I had a busy weekend so I didn't have any time to spend online. Hopefully today I can get my online expectations met without being sidetracked.
Looks like my grandson and his fiancé found a venue they like for their wedding. They've been looking for awhile but hadn't decided on one until yesterday. I don't know any of the particulars other than it's probably going to be in June 2024.
It's nice to have good news and something to look forward to.
My oldest daughter and son in law are leaving on Thursday for a cruise to New England and Canada. Her birthday was yesterday so I got her a nice set of luggage. She was so surprised and loved it. Usually she borrows my set so when she came to get mine I gave her the new set and now she's all set for her travels. They have another cruise booked for next July and I expect that there will be more cruises in the years to come.
Seems as if this morning is quickly disappearing. I've only gotten the laundry started and still have to decide what to make for dinner. I forgot to defrost the chicken so now I have to go to plan B. One thing for certain, we never starve

Today is a public holiday in Hong Kong. I had lunch with some friends at a Korean restaurant. The food was great.

@LindaOHio sadly I have no plans to travel. My knees are so bad that it would be very hard to go anywhere.

Happy belated birthday to your daughter. I hope your daughter and son-in-law enjoy their crusie. It should definitely be fun.
I had a good weekend. Although I could have maybe used another day, but it is what it is. I'm at work at the moment. Half way through the day.

We had two beautiful days of sun down here in Oregon. My oldest and I went to Newport for the day and it was a wonderful day. Today, back to rain. I'm down in Oregon for October. I'm thinking of November since December I accepted a hosting position for that month. Driving back to wa is a lot of wear and tear.

I did wind up defrosting the chicken but instead of cooking inside I think it's going on the grill outside and we'll have it on a salad.

Yesterday I started on my best friend's diamond painting. I also washed some of my clothes, but the washing machine is still banging. I hope we can get it fixed soon.

Not too bad so far. My parents went on a NE cruise once, and it also went into Nova Scotia..well actually come to think of it, it may have been a bus tour. It will be gorgeous I am sure. Vermont is such a beautiful state.

My youngest daughter went on this cruise last Fall with her friends and they had a great time. I think that's what gave my daughter and son in law the idea to go this year. Both kids are away at college so no responsibilities to keep them home.
