Problems at sea. Prayers for Humberto.

Good morning friends. Many of you know that Humberto has been sailing for over a month now bringing the Halcyon (their sailboat) from Panama to Chile. He and his pals (co owners of the sailboat) are not as young as they were and want to have the boat near home. But the trip has been full of problems. The only problem they were aware of (the crossing of the Panama channel) went off wonderfully. But first a part of the motor broke later on and they had to wait until it was brought to them prior of buying it elsewhere. Then the mayor sail broke on a tempest. Now, when they are more than tired, political problems are stopping them from continuing their trip. They did not let them get off the boat at Ecuador. The authorities said that there was too much violence and too many pirates. Now, for some other political reasons, the same thing is happenning at Callao (Peru). And they are more than tired and running out of petrol. They only want to be able to buy petrol. They have stopped wishing for more Dixie is praying for them to come back safe. There´s nothing else to do. I believe in colective prayers and good thoughts and vibes. Please help. See you later, friends. Mario came to work and I must cook for him.

@RebeccasFarm If someone told Humberto that he could not get aboard a sailing boat any longer, it would break his heart.

I will definitely pray for them. I would have been afraid to sail in waters near that political climate. They must be brave.

That´s what they have to cross to reach Chilean waters. But things weren´t that bad before in those countries.

Dixie has a prayer group. They are all praying. As soon as the sailboat reaches Chilean waters they will have no problems. Now they are quite near (in Perú). But this morning, Dixie told me they weren´t selling them petrol. JEEEZZZ!!!

With the current state of the world, I'm not sure I would feel comfortable right now with a long trip. Everything seems to be in turmoil. I hope and pray that your dear friend and his companions are safe at home before too long now.
