Seriously, what can I say about this incredible tune? The Stones even did a good version of it, but for pure soul you can’t beat the Temptations’ rendition.
This was co-written by Eddie Holland, one-third of the famed Holland/Dozier/Holland team. Don’t know if he was considered the first “Holland” or not. 
As the primary lyricist, he should be the first one mentioned!
What a great song, a testament to the amazing R&B music of Motown and the music of the 60s.

Anyway, great tune from those Motown hitmakers "The Temps." 
Like many of those Motown hits a tune filled with emotional feelings, a great recipe if you want to chart!
