How things have changed!

Change often happens slowly and gradually, so that we don’t realise quite how much has happened until something brings the situation into sharp focus.
At an agricultural show in the summer there was a parade of tractors, and that was one of those times when you suddenly see quite how much things have changed over the past 50 or so years.
The vintage tractor with no cab and nothing but a flat cap to keep the rain off, is a world away from the modern air-conditioned monster!
And yet many of these old machines are still running and still in use in many cases, as their simplicity makes it easy to keep them going, while the modern computerised versions are far more complex and specialist, and just buying a single tyre would set me back more than the cost of my car!
I confess that when I think of a tractor the image that comes to mind is still somewhere in between the two extremes!

Yes the poor farmers need a little comfort doing theur job from morning till late. I doubt the modern ones will be as long lasting like everything else these days!

Wow! Air conditioning would be a welcome addition for any farmer. Have a great weekend.
