Still remember Literacy Base?

Literacy Base

I was organizing the files in my Google Drive, as my storage has gone to 80% full. I need to delete the files I am no longer using. Then I saw folders that kept some of my writings on Bubblews, BlogJob, TinyCent and LiteracyBase. I almost forgot all these sites, except Bubblews. I just searched for these sites, and I was quite surprised that LiteracyBase still exists, though I think it's no longer paying since years ago. I have written 55 posts in LiteracyBase, and I think I got paid once just before my third child was born. After the littly boy was born, I guess I was just too busy taking care of the baby and the other elder children. It does bring back some memories when I read what I have written more than 7 years ago. I can tell what I was feeling that time and now are quite different. The stage in my life is different too. There's no longer baby or toddler in my home, I do not need to keep waking up in the middle of the night, and I can take rest whenever I want to.... I am curious why LiteracyBase still exists or why does the owner keep paying for the domain and hosting. Will the owner still make money from the site even nobody writes there? I remember I did have good time at LiteracyBase as it was still a small community, and there were some nice friends over there. I wonder if these friends write here as well. Did you write at LiteracyBase?

I remember LiteracyBase but I was never on that site. I was on a lot of different sites that are no longer around. I'm also glad myLot keeps going.

Yes, I am glad myLot is still around after so many years.... so I can always come back and take a look. It's like an online home, no matter where we go travelling and for how long, we can still come back here.

It seems like there were too many writing sites, sometimes I also don't remember if I heard about it or not... or joined it....

I was still living in Latvia and making nice money on Bubblewes when it failed I came here, However, I was also on a site called Virily, They stopped paying and many members also moved her. Howver they still keep the site open and I cannot delete my account so I attempt to rewrite my best articles and post them elsewhere, Also you mentioned that you saved some writings then you can try to do what I did if the writing are still relevant I just rewrite and add to them and post online, I also once wrote for a site called Elite Writers and after they changed their name about three times they closed. I have never heard of LiteracyBase but I looked online and it seems they still have a site,

Thanks for mentioning Virily. I wrote there too, but I totally forgot about it. I will go and check out my writings too. I am not sure, but now I just don't feel like writing much. It's good to just keep the old writings as my memories. LiteracyBase was not really popular, and I think the site was only operating well for a short period. There are many sites come and go. I wonder if there are still popular writing sites like Bubblews out there. myLot was the first writing site I joined. I am glad it's sitll here.

I don't remember this site. I was on Bubblews, Helium and InfoBarrel. They've all gone now.

@kaka135 I enjoyed all the site. Helium and InfoBarrel weren't quite as 'social' as myLot and Bubblews.
