Etna Pennsylvania resident Damian Komorofski insists that he is not a hero in any way, shape, fashion or form when he ran inside of a burning three unit home that caught fire on Saturday evening. Damian heard the cries for help from an elderly man who has Alzheimer's and he could not get out of the burning building by himself. Damian entered the building and he was able to drag the elderly man out of the danger zone safely. Two firefighters from the Shalet Hampton EMS were injured when they put out the fire as they were taken to a local hospital and later released. Even though there were no fatalities in the fire, the damage from the fire caused the residents in the house fire to receive help from the American Red Cross. Link is msn.com/en-us/news/us/...

A good result in the end, but it could have gone badly, for an untrained, unprepared person going into a burning building like that. Let's hope that he didn't just rush in, but thought about it a bit first, by at least covering his own head with some protection against the smoke.

You are right since Damian did admit that he took precaution entering the smoke filled room to save the elderly man.

@Deepizzaguy That's good. It seems like he was thoughtful, and acted rightly then.

House fires are so terrible. A good thing Damian heard the guy calling for help. He’s a brave-man.

Damian certainly was a hero to enter a burning home and rescue the man.

That is true since Damien insisted that he acted on his instincts to assist someone in need.
