Today we're visiting a house-sit and my sister

We sold a display cabinet yesterday and it will be picked up this afternoon. It will be one less thing for our sons to worry about when we’re gone. Shortly we’re going to meet a timid dog that we’ll be looking after in November and, as it’s halfway to my sister’s place, we’ll go on to visit her. She is going to take up (shorten) some trousers for me too. Actually, there are two pairs for Vince and one for me. I hate sewing and my machine is playing up but she says she is happy to do it which is nice. She does a lot of sewing, mostly making rugs for the stud goats. Enjoy your day/night and I’ll hopefully be back later. The photo was taken many years ago at a fun park.

I couldn't figure out what that was when it was only the little pic in the listing. He looks rather happy.

I was thinking the same thing! At first I thought it was one of those recycled paper trays you put drinks on like from a fast food place .

Don't worry. There will be plenty of things left for them to dispose of.

It was kind of her. I don't have any confidence with sewing but I know I should just buckle down and do it myself.

@JudyEv I hadn't sewn in years, but the beginning of the pandemic had me sewing up masks (when there weren't masks to be bought anywhere). And that was by hand!

@much2say Oh wow. There would be a fair bit of hand sewing in a mask. Maybe I should have crocheted some! lol

@JudyEv The bath is a really good place for it to take a nap ! Lately I have difficulty logging in MyLot.

I am trying to have things as easy as possible for our boys/sons when they have to pack up and sell this house. The goat must have thought the bath was a good place for a nap. It was probably nice and warm in there.

@changjiangzhibin89 I'm sorry you're having problems. It can be really frustrating sometimes when you can't log into sites.

I like to sew, I think I took this from my Mother, she was so sad not to be able to sew anymore because her macular degeneration problem. This is a cute photo.

@JudyEv - I bought a new machine 5 years ago after mine stopped working. The old Singer of my Mom was a lot better.

@LadyDuck Those old machines never stopped. I wish I'd kept Mum's old treadle.

That’s so neat getting to visit with your sister. Why make rugs for goats?

The goats that are exhibited are clipped and washed. The rugs help keep them clean and warm.

@JudyEv I don’t think I’ve seen a clipped goat.

The goat looks very comfy. There is a farm market about an hour from here that has some animals in the back, and one of them is a huge billy goat. I feel the same way about sewing..oh what a shame your machine isn't working..

That goat looks perfectly content. God willing, your sons won’t need to “worry about” things for a long time.

Hopefully, there will be even less by the time we shuffle off this mortal coil, as the saying goes. The goat is wondering why I'm taking his photo! lol

The photo made me smile. Thanks! How far away is your next sit? That was nice of your sister to do some altering for you. Let us know how the dog is. Have a good weekend.
