We don't really celebrate Halloween, but I usually just make something for them to have fun with or do some theme-related assignments. I haven't been crocheting for quite some time... a few months, perhaps. I found many Halloween crochet patterns on Instagram since last month, then I started to crochet a few... hopefully my children will like the small items to play with for Halloween. Here they are a witch girl, a candy corn, a cauldron, a potion, a black cat and a frog... My children asked: Why frog? Well, I just saw the pattern and it's easy to make, so I just made it. Do you celebrate Halloween? Picture: A few Halloween items crocheted for my children

The frog is cute! If you lived a little bit closer, I'd buy him from you. When Pretty was little, I made a bunch of crocheted animal finger puppets for her. She loved them. I'm sure your kids will love playing with what you're making for them, too. We don't go to Halloween parties anymore and it's illegal to pass out candy in our city on Halloween. We do buy candy for us to eat but we don't care if it's Halloween themed or not.

wait, what? I've never heard of that, not being able to pass out candy. Has it always been that way there?

@mom210 No, when Pretty was little, we were allowed to go Trick or Treat... But somebody put poison in some candy they handed out so the Mayor and city council passed an ordnance making it illegal here. You can still have Halloween parties and pass out candy during your party but the city doesn't want to be liable for lawsuits if someone tries to kill a kid again. The city ordnance was passed when Pretty was in college.

Frogs are part of Halloween too. They're adorable.

oh my gosh those are tooo cute! I really dislike Halloween, unfortunately my kids love it. so I find myself each year, bribing them to NOT go trick or treating or anything. I usually buy their favorite bag of candy, do some ice cream and order Pizza. it works.

And seeing a pattern and just making it is a perfectly good reason in my book.
