Today's finished painting.

Here is the finished painting that I did today. After I posted my previous post, I painted the tablecloth and then started on the apple tart itself. First I took off all the masking fluid. I started with a thin layer of lemon yellow and let that dry. It didn't take long. Then I went over sections of it in yellow ochre. While I was waiting for that to dry, I painted the sauce on the plate. When that was dry I went over sections of the tart on the left with burnt umber, and also a few parts on the right, and the shadow underneath the plate. When the sauce on the plate was dry I added a shadow there on the left. I added shadows sparingly around the edges of the plate. When that was dry I began working on the ice cream scoop on the top of the tart. I added some grey shadows, making sure to leave some areas white. I added lemon yellow and yellow ochre for the sauce ontop of the ice cream scoop. I also added stripes to the tablecloth, and then I called it finished. I still had to wait for it to dry, but I'd finished it sooner than I thought I would, and I didn't have to go back after dinner to finish it off. I hope you like my painting. Next week it's "square" lemons in acrylic. I'll have to do the same next week as I did this week, because there's no luncheon club next week due to half term.
