A Cuban came to give a gold medal to Chile.

There are many interesting stories that come out at the olympic games. In another post I told of a Chinese that came to Chile decades ago. Now I learned of the story of a young Cuban man that liked to run. But he said that in Cuba they were interested only in the best people who played. So he decided to go elsewhere. He came to Chile a few years ago as a poor immigrant. And he found a place, a woman and had babies here. His parents are in Cuba. But his coach has become part of his Chilean family. I saw his run at the decatlon and won there a gold medal for Chile. The government had accepted his papers last year and he is now legally a Chilean. I know that some immigrants are bad. But I also know that there are bad people from every nationality. Many immigrants (the mayority in fact) help our country turn into a better one. I am proud of my mixture of bloods. All of my forefathers came to Chile at different times from different places in Europe. I don´t think that if they had stayed where they were born their offspring would have done what they have done. Up to now, Chile is winning in soccer. But I won´t say anything until the match is finished. See you later.
