Cricket ODI World Cup 2023: Massive win for India in the match vs Sri Lanka / myLot

Often we favor a team going into a match. We expect the other team to however give a good fight. Yet when instead of a good show, the other team collapses like a pack of cards and loses badly, it is a big shock for us as well. Something similar happened in the India vs Sri Lanka match. India batted first after Sri Lanka won the toss and decided to put India to bat first. Shubman Gill - 92 runs and 80 + scores by Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer took India to a big score of 357 in 50 overs. In reply, Sri Lanka were expected to give a good fight. Yet they collapsed. Shami took 5 wickets, rest by Siraj, Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja. Sri Lanka lost by a big margin of 302 runs ! India qualifies for the Semi Final. Highlights at Disney Hotstar:

I think this is the only saving grace of cricket. It's never over till the last ball is bowled.

@JudyEv Well, India still has to play well and win the Semis and the Final. Nothing is guaranteed.

I think South Africa is heads and shoulders above all teams this year. All players are in form. It would be silly to count chicken before they are hatched. So I will not bet that India will bring in the world cup. Yet, there is that fond hope.
