When the power is off, a lot of our routine changes. That happenned to me today. And I was very hungry but had nothing easy to eat except bread.
We all know that we should not eat too much bread and least of all only bread. I took out some ground meat but it is still frozen.
So I looking into my pantry and discovered a can of moussels in hot juice that I had bought to make an appetizer when I had guests. But then I thought that I deserved them and opened the can. (Isn´t it awesome that now you don´t have to use a can opener to open a can?
).
The mussels were delicious. I got out some bread to soak part of that delicious juice. That was almost better than the mussels.
I will have to put a couple of these cans in the top od my next grocery list.
I will now check if the meat is thawed. It is very late. See you.

I don´t usually buy cans to cook with them. But I do buy seafood cans for appetizers or stuffed tomatoes.

We have a grill at home, so even when Power is out, we can usually throw something together. it has saved us from going out some nights when we didnt have power.

The first mussels´ cans I had, years ago were either in water or oil. Now we also have them in this delicious hot oily water or smoked. I buy some of these cans to add to appetizers when friends come.
