"Don't Wanna Fall in Love" is a song by Canadian singer-songwriter and record producer, Jane Child. The song was written and produced by Jane and was released in 1990. It hit #2 on the Billboard Hot 100, was certified gold and reached #6 on the R&B chart, rare for a white singer. Born 2/15/65, Jane is known for her unusual style -- spiky hair, ankle-length braids and nose chain piercing. Her debut album, "Jane Child", was totally written and produced by Child who also performed all the vocals and played all the instruments except for the guitar. I love the song and the video. The song is a pleasure vs. pain concept: It can hurt to be in love. "Love cuts just like a knife. You make the knife feel good. I'll fight you 'till the end."

No, I haven't. I very rarely listen to music... We don't have music playing in the house but sometimes Pretty will turn the radio on in the car when we're on a trip somewhere.

@LindaOHio I understand. I used to be a DJ on a country station but haven't even listened to radio unless Pretty turns it on.

I only listen in the car anymore. Once and a while I'll open up a song on YouTube on the computer; but it's very rare. I have a large CD collection that I used to play at work. I haven't touched them in years.

Yep. Definitely very familiar with this one. I'd even call it a classic. Good song.

@porwest I'd be afraid of getting it caught on something and ripping out my ear and nose.

@LindaOHio I do vaguely remember that nose to ear chain trend, but luckily it never really actually caught on. Looks rather dangerous. lol

That nose piercing chain is definitely an unusual style. I never heard the song. I liked her voice and the instrumental play before the lyrics started. It was catchy.
