Free Hot Breakfast at the hotel this morning (11.15.23)

The appointment I was supposed to have first thing this morning got pushed back so we we're already up and we decided to go ahead and go downstairs and take advantage of the free breakfast we are either never awake for or never here for because we are gone for an appointment. I expected some cereal/sausage and muffins but I was actually pretty surprised by what we found. I had a biscuit and gravy, a cheese omelette, bacon and some apple juice. Chris had a biscuit and gravy, scrambled cheese eggs and bacon. It was all pretty good. They have a pancake "printer" that I want to see how it works tomorrow. So we will see if I can get down there before we have to leave, or if I even wake up in time for that. I don't even know when my appointments are tomorrow. But the hot breakfast was totally worth it, and I was glad we we're up in time for it. When was the last time you were at a hotel that had an actual breakfast?

It has been a long time. And the only time I had a very good free breakfast was once that I was at a very good hotel. When hotels have been only good, breakfasts have been much less than that.

@thislittlepennyearns Now many hotels specially in cities offer free breakfasts to bring more cpstumers. But it is better to get dressed and go out for breakfast.

This is the first time since I was a kid that I remember the hotel having a decent breakfast. The other ones just have cereal. I did snag some single serve Nutella's to add to my hot chocolate later.

A lot more hotels these days seem to include it. La Quinta is one I stay at when I have the wife along mostly, and they always have eggs and sausage and waffles and other stuff provided free in the morning.

I like to have breakfast in the hotel since it can save more time. And usually the breakfast in the hotel will taste well. Of course it is super that it is free of charge

The last time for me was a place called Auburn Suites in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Most of the time it's just regular fare. But that breakfast looks like a haul.
