I Pulled My Back Out

United States

Would you believe that I pulled it out just putting some silverware into the dishwasher. I must have just bent the wrong way and I felt it go. Hobbled into the living room and managed to get to my recliner and that's where I've been spending 99% of my time. Doing what my chiropractor always suggested...alternating ice and heat and Tylenol. I'm really hoping it isn't going to last long as I really don't want to miss Thanksgiving at my daughters this week. I'm really glad though, that I'm not hosting Thanksgiving because I'd really be stuck. Anyway, that's my sad tale of woe for this Saturday. Hope your weekend is going well

That sounds painful..sounds like you might need to strengthen your core muscles. One time on Tgiving...I slept wrong the night before..and was terribly sore on the day itself and we had my inlaws plus hubby and another guest. Here I was in pain all day, with not a lot of help Murphy's Law.

OW! I hope your back feels better soon. It's a good thing you're not hosting Thanksgiving. Though, I'm sure your daughters would help if you were.

What poor timing, not that there is ever good timing for throwing out a back. I hope that you can rest, relax and heal before we get any closer to Thanksgiving.

I know you’ll be doing everything you can to feel better for Thanksgiving. Do you happen to have a muscle relaxer?

Argh! I think of that when Hubby puts stuff into the dishwasher - he has to watch his back too. I keep telling him to quit bending over so far! There are still a few days away from Tday . . . hopefully your back will be healed up well before that. Please take care this week!!

Putting your back out happens so quickly. I've done that too - put my back out doing something very simple. I hope it gets better quickly.

I"m sorry about your back. I hope you feel better soon. Just do what your chiropractor says and try to have a good day.

How long does it usually last ? Is there a way you can avoid it happening again?
